Deployment Length
Dear First Lady, Michelle Obama
I am writing you in regards to the deployment length of our military troops. I feel the 12 to 15 month deployments are too long. It is so very hard on the children and the wives of the soldiers. I know this because I am an Army Wife. I would like to propose prehaps a 6 month on and 6 months off for the deployments.
My husband's Unit is due to deploy in June. If he is assigned to go, he will miss our three year old daughter's Birthday, our Wedding Anniversary, and Thanksgiving for the second time. Not to mention the birth of our new baby.
There has to be some kind of compromise.
